This was a very enjoyable read.excellent writing and story telling. I'm not a great reader but found it interesting and held my attention

Just loved this book. Wasn't at all what i expected! Found it very emotional and pulled at the heart strings. The attic cleaning had to wait!
A genuinely great read.

I am an old car fan and a Donegal resident – therefore the book was a natural. I found it was much more. I lost my own father a few years ago and wished we had shared more interests. I like old cars – he had no interest in them at all.
This is a warm book that inspired me to get more in touch with my father’s life. I hope I can.

A thoroughly enjoyable read. The story is sometimes sad, sometimes funny and thought provoking. I had a father who restored old cars and it brought back the smell of the garage and the love put into those cars.

The author has combined the best of writing with the best of plotting to create suspense, intrigue and, at times, a dark humor. His characters are fully-formed and often scary - the obvious and unobvious, not for who they are but who we perceive them to be, which seem to hang on a thread of snow. What you will find is the richest of writing in the richest of landscapes as befits a book which is, in part, about art. This is the best book that I have read for a long time, but having said that there were a few pockets of facts that didn't quiet jell but it still contains a cohesion that is not difficult to admire. It is very well written and has a few really clever and witty passages.

Anna is a story which pulls you in, intrigues you and takes you on a journey!
It weaves a trail through the lives of the characters and I would never have predicted where it would have ended and how the characters developed. A very enjoyable read, made even more so by the descriptions of the landscapes both rural & urban in which it is set. It was hard to take a break from as you wanted to know what happened next!
